Health Benefits of Herbs - Part 2

I know, I know it is quite a hectic to read all the herbs and their benefits in one go. So I have divided the post in two parts. In the last post, I covered health benefits of Bitter Melon, Babool, Garlic, Amla and Bael Fruit. Today I shall cover the health benefits of Haritaki, Ginger, Neem, Tulsi and Chyavanprash.

  • Tulsi is widely known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.

Health Benefits of Ginger
  • Provides mangesium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium.
  • Remedy for digestive problems and food poisoning.
  • Helps in bone formation and benefits the heart.
  • A good antioxidant.

Health Benefits of Chyavanprash
  • Made from more than 40 herbs, with gooseberry being one of the main content. Some other contents are ghee, sugar, oil, sesame and honey.
  • Known to be a anti stess and anti aging tonic.
  • Strengthens the immune system and provides energy to the body.

Health Benefits of Haritaki
  • Some properties of Haritaki are laxative, stomachic, aleterative and tonic.
  • Nourishes the tissues of the body.
  • Good for hair, skin, eyes and liver.
